1229 members and 1015 children

Hello. My name is Doug Henderson. My wife, Carmi, and I live in North Carolina with two incredible daughters from China. Eliana was adopted from Shaoyang, Hunan in 2002 when she was 8 months old. Karys is from Baoding, Hebei and we adopted her in 2007 when she was 2-1/2. We're now in the process of bringing home our 12-year-old son from Liaoning. I journal about our crazy life over at Henderson Home Online.

I can't even count the number of times I've seen prospective adoptive parents in forums and yahoogroups asking, "Has anyone adopted from this SWI or from that province?" Maybe you've even thought, "I wish I could find some of the other children who were in my son or daughter's orphanage when we adopted."

I created and developed this website to help.

Our Chinese Children is intended to be a database of children adopted from China and here's how you can participate:

First. If you have adopted from China or are currently in process, please create an account. All I ask for is your name, a password, an active email address and the state, canadian province or country that you live in.

Second. Once your account is activated, register each of your children. I ask for your child's name, Chinese name, birth date, the date your travel group left for China, referral or special needs, gender, province, swi and adoption agency. Each of these fields is searchable.

Third. Please help spread the word! Contact all of the Chinese adoptive parents you know and tell them about this site.
